We are grateful to all of our supporters who make our work possible. Together, we address educational inequality and support children to reach their potential at school and beyond.

The Charity of Sir Richard Whittington

We are thrilled to be amongst a group of brilliant organisations that are receiving multi-year support from the Charity of Sir Richard Whittington via the Mercers’ Company which is the corporate trustee of the charity. As well as valued financial support, throughout the grant period we will be working alongside their research partners at the Open University, to further understand the impact on young people of reading and writing for pleasure.

We previously received support from the Mercers’ Company when we opened our first venue in 2014. Now, through the Charity of Sir Richard Whittington, the Company is supporting the work in our Haringey learning centre which opened in 2019. We are very pleased to be renewing our relationship with the Mercers’ Company during another such pivotal time for our organisation, and are honoured to be part of such an important research project.

Scottish Power Foundation

The Scottish Power Foundation is committed to engaging with projects that help tackle disadvantage and make a positive difference to the lives of people in communities throughout the UK. We are honoured to be chosen as one of only 21 grant recipients.

The Foundation’s grant is going towards embedding our Haringey Ship in the local community, deepening the impact we began to make in 2019.

We were very grateful to visit the Scottish Power Foundation team in person in January 2020. It was a wonderful opportunity to meet other recipients and learn more about their varied and brilliant work. We look forward to seeing how these organisations progress over the coming year and sharing our own impact as well.
