The Literacy Pirates is a registered charity and we don’t charge families for our services. Your donation will help us keep narrowing the literacy gap, making sure children we support succeed at school and beyond.

There are lots of ways to support us, you can:

1. Give a one-off donation

As a small charity, every single donation will make a difference. You can donate by visiting our JustGiving page or by making a bank transfer, just get in touch for our details.

If you’re thinking of making a large gift you might like to join our Captain’s Collective. If you would like to discuss an in-depth proposal, please email us.

2. Become a Pirate Pal by setting up a monthly donation

Monthly donations provide sustainable income, which helps us plan for the future. If you’d like to regularly donate to The Literacy Pirates, you can set this up through Just Giving.

3. Become a corporate supporter

We work in partnership with lots of corporate supporters. Some choose to make us their charity of the year, set up an in-house volunteering partnership or run office fundraising events in aid of us. We have lots of ideas and experience to help enhance your corporate social responsibility programme.

If you think that you can help us with financial support; volunteering or pro-bono help; we’d love to hear from you. Please get in touch or give our details to your company’s CSR or community representative.

4. Organise a fundraising event

Our fundraising pack is stuffed full of ideas and information to help you organise your fundraising event. We’d love to hear what you are planning to do and will help however we can.

5. Take part in a sponsored run, cycle, swim or other event

Sign up to take part in one of London’s many 10k runs or half marathons, or join in with any other kind of challenge event.

We can help you fundraise for us, and cheer you on from the sidelines! Just get in touch to let us know.

6. Buy a book from our wishlist

Help us add to our library with new titles. Visit our Wishlist on Amazon for the Hackney Ship and Haringey Ship to make a purchase and send a gift to our Young Pirates.
