Corporate Partnerships Manager

We are partnering with Charity People to find a new Corporate Partnerships Manager, to capture the imagination of new corporate funders and drive growth from the business community.

Purpose of the role

The corporate partnerships programme is a growing area for Literacy Pirates. It currently makes up 20% of income and has doubled in the last three years. This role will spearhead our growth strategy, target new partners, and unlock key opportunities for businesses to support our work in a variety of ways.

The Corporate Partnerships Manager will work closely with the Head of Fundraising to design the strategy, build collaborative new business plans and innovative ways of engaging partners. There is also line management of a Corporate Partnerships Officer, providing key support and development of their skillset and experience.

About you

The main focus will be on new business, so you will be confident making cold approaches, owning pipelines and exploring ways of building professional networks. There will also be account management responsibilities, ensuring partners receive excellent stewardship and both sides deliver on partnership objectives.

To apply for this role you will need to:

  • Bring experience of securing income and developing new relationships with corporate supporters
  • Be an excellent communicator, with a passion for the Literacy Pirates mission to address inequality and making a difference in local communities
  • Have worked towards income targets, managed budgets and other key financial information.

Salary: £32,000-38,000 depending on experience (includes London Weighting)
Contract type: Full time (35hrs)
Hours: Mon to Fri 11am to 7pm (we run an after-school programme so most staff work these hours and flexible working requests are considered)
Venue: 138 Kingsland High St., Hackney

The interviews will be held at our Hackney office. If you need to take annual leave we are happy to compensate you for your time.

Successful candidates will be called for a final interview with a few of our Young Pirates.

Like all roles at The Literacy Pirates, the successful candidate will complete DBS and a three-month probationary period before the confirmation of the appointment.
