The Literacy Pirates is a registered charity. We don’t charge families for our services. Your donation will help address educational inequality and ensure that the children we support in Hackney and Haringey can succeed at school and beyond.
You can support us by…
1. Donating a one-off amount
As a small charity, every single donation will make a difference to supporting young people in Hackney and Haringey. You can make a donation by visiting our JustGiving page or if you prefer you can make a bank transfer, just get in touch for our details.
If you would like to consider making a large gift or would be interested in receiving an in-depth proposal, please email us.
2. Setting up a regular donation
Monthly donations give us a sustainable income, which helps us plan for the future. If you would like to regularly donate to The Literacy Pirates you can also set this up through JustGiving.
3. Corporate supporters
The company you work for may have a charitable giving foundation; an employee giving scheme; a Charity of the Year or another social responsibility programme. If you think that your organisation can help The Literacy Pirates with financial support; volunteering; or offering pro-bono help and skills sharing, we’d love to hear from you. Please email us or give our details to your company’s CSR or community representative.
4. Organise a fundraising event
Our fundraising pack is packed full of ideas and information to help you organise your fundraising event. We’d love to hear what you are planning to do and we will help however we can, just email us.
5. Take on a run/ cycle/ walk/ swim/ climb in aid of us
Do you want to sign up to take part in one of London’s many 10kms or half marathons? Or any other type of challenge event! We can support you to fundraise in aid of us and cheer you on! Just get in touch to let us know.
